There is one neashi (根足) or post on their back. Ko Mino menuki as a generual rule, do not have neashi (根足) or posts on their backs. It is most likely that the posts on these menuki were added at a later date and the one on the right menuki has since been lost.
The theme is typical of Ko Mino work and depicts autumanal flowers. These include 菊 Kiku (Chrysanthemum), 桔梗 kikyou (Chinese Bellflower) and 撫子 Nadeshiko (Pink or Pink flower). This is finished with silver drops of water. As with many Ko Mino kodogu, the design is busy and fluid.
The sizes are as follows. Hidari 左: 49mm x 15.mm x 5 mm. Migi 右: 48 mm x 15 mm x 6 mm.
